Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gordon Robertson in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luke Davis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Clackmannan FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Taylor Watson hit a great ball. Luke Davis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harry McRach in the 21st minute. If Lucas Cameron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Lee McDonleavy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruce Fullarton was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Lee McDonleavy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruce Fullarton having to interfere. Luke Davis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gordon Robertson in the 33rd minute of play. Bruce Fullarton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lee McDonleavy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ray McIlvride during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Clackmannan FC's Ray McIlvride got a free kick in the 41st minute. The Clackmannan FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Annan AFC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Lucas Cameron made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Clackmannan FC's Bruce Fullarton got control of the ball when Lee McDonleavy tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Annan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Harry McRach came free, but Luke Davis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lucas Cameron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 minutes, Euan McMurray mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Annan AFC and the Clackmannan FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th minute, Euan McMurray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 70 minutes Annan AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aiden McAuselan who took care of the corner kick. Aiden McAuselan made a great header on Clackmannan FC's corner, it was just that Annan AFC's Luke Davis managed to reach the ball for a save. Lee McDonleavy struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Bruce Fullarton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Annan AFC. In the 79th minute, Lee McDonleavy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruce Fullarton was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lee McDonleavy got free with Bruce Fullarton in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Clackmannan FC's zone, Lucas Cameron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruce Fullarton came out of the goal and Lucas Cameron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87thth minute of the game Lucas Cameron who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clackmannan FC's Bruce Fullarton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bruce Fullarton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Cameron, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 91st minute Lucas Cameron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruce Fullarton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
