Spectators: 6772 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reece Neish started the match with the kick off. Alex Dinwoodie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Tom Bartholomew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 4th minute Mike Craig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Forsyth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Reece Neish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Appin's Tom Bartholomew played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Dinwoodie in the 9th minute of play. Mike Craig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ronald Forsyth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Ryan Dean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, Reece Neish got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36thth minute of the game Mike Craig who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golspie's Ronald Forsyth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tom Bartholomew made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Dinwoodie in the 38th minute of play. If Reece Neish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Golspie's zone, Mike Craig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronald Forsyth came out of the goal and Mike Craig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, Golspie's goal looked a bit too open when Reece Neish came free, but Ronald Forsyth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Mike Craig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Forsyth having to interfere. Ron Ure recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Dinwoodie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tom Bartholomew having to make a save. If Ron Ure had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Mike Craig made a precise shot to the right of Ronald Forsyth. Golspie's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Ron Ure sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the game, one of Appin:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 72nd minute Golspie were awarded a corner. Ryan Dean went to the cornerflag to take it. Ron Ure sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Alex Dinwoodie made a precise shot to the right of Tom Bartholomew. Appin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Rob Grewar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tom Bartholomew having to make a save. Tom Bartholomew took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ter Foster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michael Connelly might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronald Forsyth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michael Connelly ran back to his position shaking his head. Rob Grewar charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rob Grewar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Golspie's Rob Grewar got a free kick in the 95th minute. A hard shot by Tyler Richardson from long distance, 95 minutes into the match, got Ronald Forsyth's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Appin had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
