Spectators: 6775 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) Steve McLymont started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Adam Kennedy came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Ballygrant FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Kennedy couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Adam Kennedy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballygrant FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adam Kennedy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mark McKiggan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Dark Side Walker FC defense, Adam Kennedy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mark McKiggan. The Dark Side Walker FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mark McKiggan should have stopped the shot. In the 25th minute, Max McBheath hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adam Kennedy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark McKiggan having to interfere. Adam Kennedy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Mark McKiggan made a huge save. Jim Lambie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John McBeolain, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Rick Ainslie hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. John McBeolain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jim Lambie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jim Lambie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve McLymont, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Cumin in the 39th minute of play forced Dark Side Walker FC's goalkeeper Mark McKiggan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicky Murray's late challenge caught a Ballygrant FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicky Murray helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Dark Side Walker FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Nicky Murray hit a great ball. Nicholas Dowe hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

54 minutes into the match, Adam Kennedy notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Dark Side Walker FC's Mark McKiggan. Mark McKiggan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Robert Cumin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adam Kennedy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mark McKiggan having to make a save. In the 65th minute, Joshua Morton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, Ballygrant FC's goal looked a bit too open when Steve McLymont came free, but Jim Lambie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70thth minute of the game Adam Kennedy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dark Side Walker FC's Mark McKiggan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 71st minute, Nicholas Dowe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, Adam Kennedy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 79 played minutes Ballygrant FC got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Morton. After 82 minutes Ballygrant FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Robin Ellis who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Dark Side Walker FC's Robin Ellis to fire away a dangerous shot which Jim Lambie despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. John McBeolain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Jim Lambie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rick Ainslie struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Mark McKiggan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballygrant FC. Adam Kennedy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mark McKiggan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Cumin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
