Rob Bell might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ron McShimes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rob Bell ran back to his position shaking his head. 13 minutes into the match, Callander's goal looked a bit too open when Derek McLardie came free, but Connor Munro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matt Baxter struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Ron McShimes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Callander. Callander's Connor Munro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Callander from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Mackenzie Klan FC's zone, Matt Baxter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ron McShimes came out of the goal and Matt Baxter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rob Bell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron McShimes having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Mackenzie Klan FC's Derek McLardie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Connor Munro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Connor Munro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derek McLardie in the 34th minute of play. Will Limont's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Connor Munro firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 43rd match minute, Callander was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kieran Comine to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Derek McLardie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 57 minutes, Rob Bell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Callander's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rob Bell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute, one of Callander:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Callander. 66 minutes into the game, Mackenzie Klan FC's Derek McLardie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Connor Munro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 79 minutes into the match, Callander's goal looked a bit too open when Derek McLardie came free, but Connor Munro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
