Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rob Griesck got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rob Griesck in the 3rd minute of play forced Seaview United's goalkeeper Arthur McCluskie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Banchory AFC's Rob Griesck fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 8thth minute of the game Rob Griesck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seaview United's Arthur McCluskie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Seaview United's goal looked a bit too open when Vinny Lamondson came free, but Arthur McCluskie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vinny Lamondson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bob McCarter did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Johnny Taggart 13 minutes into the match. Johnny Taggart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob McCarter in the 16th minute of play. Sean Brownson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Taggart having to interfere. If Rob Griesck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sean Brownson took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johnny Taggart. Johnny Taggart dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Banchory AFC's zone, Sean Brownson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnny Taggart came out of the goal and Sean Brownson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arthur McCluskie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rob Griesck in the 32nd minute of the match. Rob Griesck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Seaview United's Tam O'Shannaig got a free kick in the 37th minute. Vinny Lamondson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rob Griesck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Banchory AFC's Rob Griesck, in the 47th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Banchory AFC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bob McCarter was the one to do the kick off. Johnny Taggart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sean Brownson in the 51st minute of the match. After 53 minutes, Bob McCarter made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Banchory AFC's Johnny Taggart tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Banchory AFC fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Banchory AFC's Vinny Lamondson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 67 minutes into the match, Seaview United's Sean Brownson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johnny Taggart narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 70 played minutes Banchory AFC got a freekick which was hit by Innes Banks. Arthur McCluskie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rob Griesck in the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the game, Vinny Lamondson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arthur McCluskie. Vinny Lamondson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Vinny Lamondson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Arthur McCluskie made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Bob McCarter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Seaview United's supporters rose to their feet, but Bob McCarter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnny Taggart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute, Owen Carmichael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vinny Lamondson kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Banchory AFC! Theo Suttie shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Rob Griesck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 100th minute the ball was on its way in behind Banchory AFC's goalkeeper Johnny Taggart, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Banchory AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Seaview United.
