Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luke Minnus started the match with the kick off. Euan McErracher hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Dougal Alder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Reece Beaton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Hogsmeade FC's zone, Martin McKersey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paddy Fox came out of the goal and Martin McKersey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute, Kenny Lamondson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paddy Fox was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Marcus Douglas hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the game, Rangers FC's Kenny Lamondson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paddy Fox made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Hogsmeade FC's Larry Gillanders got a free kick in the 21st minute. Martin McKersey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 25 minutes, Martin McKersey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rangers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin McKersey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kenny Lamondson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Paddy Fox tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reece Beaton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luke Minnus's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Paddy Fox made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin McKersey in the 34th minute of play. Martin McKersey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hogsmeade FC's goalkeeper Paddy Fox, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 43rd match minute, Hogsmeade FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Finlay Forrister to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kenny Lamondson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Rangers FC's Martin McKersey dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. A collision led to Rangers FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Kenny Lamondson hit a great ball. Luke Minnus struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Reece Beaton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hogsmeade FC. The audience was convinced that Luke Minnus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reece Beaton was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 61st minute Darius Neil suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Dougal Alder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reece Beaton having to interfere. Dougal Alder struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Reece Beaton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hogsmeade FC. 86 minutes into the match, Rangers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Minnus came free, but Reece Beaton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Dougal Alder left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hogsmeade FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Reece Beaton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luke Minnus, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
