The wind increased when Lewis McCreath made the kick off in the second half. When Lewis McCreath came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Hamilton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lewis McCreath couldn't finish the play. Strathaven United's Taylor McCruithein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lewis McCreath in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Dougal Gill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robbie McTary received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Taylor McCruithein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lewis McCreath, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robbie McTary received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Taylor McCruithein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nicky Ayson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
