Seating: 1778, VIP seats: 154) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Kenneth Andrews made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd minute, Marc McConochie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute, Dont Blame The Name's Davie Jones ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stuart Fisher. Stuart Fisher yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Davie Jones kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Brazil 1970's goalkeeper Stuart Fisher had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joshua Reilly. Davie Jones in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stuart Fisher, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dont Blame The Name's Murray Elliot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alisdair Bruce in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davie Jones in the 29th minute of play forced Brazil 1970's goalkeeper Stuart Fisher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Kenneth Andrews's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Murray Elliot was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brazil 1970's goalkeeper Stuart Fisher, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Davie Jones in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stuart Fisher prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Brazil 1970 getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ronnie McCaig hit a great ball. Davie Jones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Stuart Fisher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dont Blame The Name's Murray Elliot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenneth Andrews in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Davie Jones to make the kick off. Murray Elliot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alisdair Bruce in the 55th minute. After having played for 63 minutes, Gus Yuille managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brazil 1970's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gus Yuille was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 67 minutes, Nicol McFall mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dont Blame The Name and the Brazil 1970 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicol McFall kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. If Kenneth Andrews had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murray Elliot came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Brazil 1970's Alisdair Bruce. But to his dismay, Alisdair Bruce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Dont Blame The Name's zone, Alisdair Bruce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murray Elliot came out of the goal and Alisdair Bruce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lewis McLiver charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lewis McLiver the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lewis McLiver kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brazil 1970's zone, Joshua Reilly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stuart Fisher came out of the goal and Joshua Reilly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Brazil 1970 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Brazil 1970 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
