Spectators: 6797 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1797, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rod Williamson took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Banff's Rod Williamson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lucas Fowler. Lucas Fowler yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Vincent Niven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liam Laidlaw having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Niven in the 11th minute of play forced Banff's goalkeeper Liam Laidlaw to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Hamilton booed when Banff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rod Williamson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Vincent Niven came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Hamilton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vincent Niven couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute Rod Williamson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Fowler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Rod Williamson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lucas Fowler. The goal made the score 2-0. Vincent Niven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liam Laidlaw having to interfere. If Vincent Niven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danny Johnston charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danny Johnston the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Danny Johnston kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to Hamilton getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ben Nixon hit a great ball. Vincent Niven struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Liam Laidlaw didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hamilton. David Crossley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Lucas Fowler made a huge save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jack McVurich was the one to do the kick off. Liam Laidlaw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack McVurich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jack McVurich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jack McVurich came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Hamilton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jack McVurich couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Banff getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Roddie McDuff hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Banff's goalkeeper Liam Laidlaw had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vincent Niven. In the 73rdth minute of the game Logan McMonies who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Banff's Liam Laidlaw was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 79th minute, Jack McVurich fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Liam Laidlaw, passed just outside the right post. 91 minutes into the match, Banff's goalkeeper Liam Laidlaw had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vincent Niven. Jack McVurich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute, Matthew McKinley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Banff were victorious despite being under pressure from Hamilton for much of the match.
