Spectators: 6787 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Danny Johnston made the kick off which started today's match. When Stuart McLugash came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Acharacle FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stuart McLugash couldn't finish the play. Guy Inches's late challenge caught a Acharacle FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guy Inches helped the player get up and apologised. Guy Inches hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, Ricky Moray fired a really elegant long shot, but Liam Laidlaw threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Rod Williamson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 10th play minutes Stuart McLugash shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Liam Laidlaw and just under the crossbar into goal. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Banff! Liam Laidlaw went to the wrong direction when Ricky Moray was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Liam Laidlaw was a little too slow when Stuart McLugash got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 25th match minute, Banff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roddie McDuff to maneuver through the defense. Acharacle FC's Ricky Moray shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Liam Laidlaw but with some difficulty. In the 28th minute, Matthew McKinley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Liam Laidlaw was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ricky Moray. When Stuart McLugash came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Acharacle FC fans jumped to their feet. Greig McGruther sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stuart McLugash stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Liam Laidlaw stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stuart McLugash's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. In the 54th match minute, Banff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guy Inches to maneuver through the defense. Stuart McLugash sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 61 minutes, Stuart McLugash managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acharacle FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stuart McLugash was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Danny Johnston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Greig McGruther made a precise shot to the right of Liam Laidlaw. Banff's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Banff's Liam Laidlaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stuart McLugash in the 72nd minute of play. Stuart McLugash sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Thomas McKimmie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Acharacle FC's Arthur Byers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Johnston in the 78th minute of play. If Greig McGruther had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Acharacle FC booed when Banff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew McKinley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Acharacle FC's Greig McGruther got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Stuart McLugash had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute Thomas McKimmie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam Laidlaw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arthur Byers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rod Williamson in the 94th minute. Jay Spence kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Acharacle FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
