Christopher McLennan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglas Donaldson in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christopher McLennan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christopher McLennan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathan Tonnochy, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. A collision led to Biggar City getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jonathan Gillies hit a great ball. In the 25th minute of the match Davie McGilchrist shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christopher McLennan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Evan Lamb charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evan Lamb the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Christopher McLennan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Donaldson in the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Taylor Spittal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Kinross getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Graeme Beattie hit a great ball. Biggar City's Christopher McLennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Donaldson in the 40th minute of play. Jonathan Gillies kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Kinross's Douglas Donaldson got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nathan Tonnochy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Douglas Donaldson made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play Biggar City's Evan Lamb was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 53 played minutes Biggar City got a freekick which was hit by Evan Lamb. Kinross's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
