In the 4th match minute, Ballygrant FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gareth McAindra to maneuver through the defense. Wal Niven recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute, Samuel Howison made a precise shot to the right of Dean Yuill. Fraserburgh's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Ballygrant FC's Jake Aldridge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wal Niven in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wal Niven in the 37th minute of play forced Ballygrant FC's goalkeeper Jake Aldridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neil Gregorson in the 39th minute of play forced Ballygrant FC's goalkeeper Jake Aldridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wal Niven's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jake Aldridge read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Jake Aldridge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Gregorson in the 45th minute of the match. Sean Gold took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jake Aldridge. Ballygrant FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wal Niven to strike the kick off in the second half. Neil Gregorson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jake Aldridge having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Samuel Howison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th match minute, Fraserburgh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alistair Donlevy to maneuver through the defense. Neil Gregorson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Jake Aldridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raymond McCloy kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wal Niven in the 65th minute of play forced Ballygrant FC's goalkeeper Jake Aldridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Matthew Ellis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Johnny Elder in the 67th minute really tested Jake Aldridge's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Dean Yuill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin McSporran in the 73rd minute of the match. Jake Aldridge was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Wal Niven capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wal Niven really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Ballygrant FC's zone, Wal Niven stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jake Aldridge came out of the goal and Wal Niven tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dean Yuill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin McSporran, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. When Christopher McGlasrich fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fraserburgh's protests and gave Christopher McGlasrich a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute of the match Johnny Elder shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jake Aldridge showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wal Niven in the 90th minute of play forced Ballygrant FC's goalkeeper Jake Aldridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin McSporran struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Dean Yuill didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballygrant FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Christopher McGlasrich managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fraserburgh's supporters rose to their feet, but Christopher McGlasrich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jake Aldridge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fraserburgh's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
