If Freddie Gunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Lochailort City's goal looked a bit too open when Freddie Gunn came free, but Aidan Blackburn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anthony McPhater kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Phil Abrahams received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Aidan Blackburn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darren McNeilage sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rory Shannon kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paddy Robinson in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rod McDuff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aidan Blackburn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Freddie Gunn's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. When Phil Abrahams came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Perth AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phil Abrahams couldn't finish the play. Freddie Gunn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Aidan Blackburn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Phil Abrahams ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aidan Blackburn was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The Lochailort City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Perth AFC were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Paddy Robinson made the kick off in the second half. Aidan Blackburn made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Freddie Gunn sent off a good shot on target. Lochailort City's Aidan Blackburn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phil Abrahams in the 57th minute of play. Shane Comine's late challenge caught a Lochailort City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shane Comine helped the player get up and apologised. Shane Comine kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. The supporters of Perth AFC booed when Lochailort City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicol Isles didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Freddie Gunn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Freddie Gunn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Aidan Blackburn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ewan Carrick during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ewan Carrick hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Perth AFC's zone, Paddy Robinson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rod McDuff came out of the goal and Paddy Robinson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th minute, Phil Abrahams got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aidan Blackburn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Phil Abrahams showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 80 minute of play. Darren Harper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aidan Blackburn having to interfere. Darren McNeilage recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Paddy Robinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paddy Robinson stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Perth AFC's defenders and the ball went out. Lochailort City appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. The Perth AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Perth AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
