The tension between the Celtic Killers FC and the Invergarry players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Celtic Killers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Blake to maneuver through the defense. Connor McCaul scored 1-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michael Grigor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 20 minutes into the match, Celtic Killers FC's goalkeeper Michael Grigor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Connor McCaul. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugh McRury stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 86 played minutes Celtic Killers FC got a freekick which was hit by Ron McGillivour. If Connor McCaul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. Connor McCaul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Grigor having to interfere. Michael Grigor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hugh McRury's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Invergarry had played much better football throughout.
