Jacob McRorie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregor McKerlich in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Castlebay's goal looked a bit too open when Murray Manson came free, but Rupert McCrae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8thth minute of the game Murray Manson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Castlebay's Rupert McCrae was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Eddie Lennie could shoot a difficult shot in the 10th minute, which Jacob McRorie however easily saved by the left post. Rupert McCrae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murray Manson in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Dublin Polar Bears FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Innes McLergain hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dublin Polar Bears FC's zone, Gregor McKerlich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacob McRorie came out of the goal and Gregor McKerlich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute, Castlebay's Gregor McKerlich dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 21 played minutes Dublin Polar Bears FC got a freekick which was hit by Andy McUlric. Richard Robinsons short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Jacob McRorie to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Patrick McMillan charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrick McMillan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Castlebay getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Patrick McMillan hit a great ball. Jacob McRorie acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Phillip Dean. If Grant Moray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Castlebay's Eddie Lennie got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Castlebay booed when Dublin Polar Bears FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Spence didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dublin Polar Bears FC's goalkeeper Jacob McRorie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christopher Carson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Rupert McCrae tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Christopher Carson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregor McKerlich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Castlebay's Eddie Lennie got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 76 played minutes Castlebay got a freekick which was hit by Patrick McMillan. If Gregor McKerlich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willie Cumming in the 84th minute of play forced Dublin Polar Bears FC's goalkeeper Jacob McRorie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacob McRorie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddie Lennie in the 85th minute of the match. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dublin Polar Bears FC's goalkeeper Jacob McRorie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
