The referee showed Lewis Combie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Dalwhinnie FC booed when Dalbeattie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewis Combie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kenny McAuselan in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dean McMurray prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kenny McAuselan scored 0-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dean McMurray, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 52 played minutes Dalwhinnie FC got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Hardie. Dean McMurray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timothy McBeolain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Timothy McBeolain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dalwhinnie FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Timothy McBeolain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dean McMurray breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Kenny McAuselan came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Dalwhinnie FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenny McAuselan couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute, Edward Taylor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Dalwhinnie FC booed when Dalbeattie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Taylor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Calum Bean shot from long distance in the 80th minute, but Dean McMurray was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Lewis Combie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josh McIlwhom having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Kenny McAuselan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dean McMurray. Kenny McAuselan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The audience was convinced that Oliver Henderson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Josh McIlwhom was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded Dalwhinnie FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Dalbeattie.
