The tension between the Dublin Polar Bears FC and the Bonnybridge players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Dublin Polar Bears FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Patrick Spence hit a great ball. Darius Vass, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 11th minute of the match Raymond McMonies shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacob McRorie showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Evan Robison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evan Robison took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacob McRorie. Jacob McRorie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jacob McRorie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kieran McLardy in the 30th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Innes McLergain during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Dublin Polar Bears FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Innes McLergain to maneuver through the defense. Evan Robison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob McRorie having to interfere. With a little luck, Bonnybridge's Irvin McKiggan got control of the ball when Murray Manson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Bonnybridge were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evan Robison to strike the kick off in the second half. Irvin McKiggan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christopher Carson in the 52nd minute of play. Evan Robison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andy McUlric lost his temper 55 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Dublin Polar Bears FC:s Jacob McRorie showed great skill when he stopped Darius Vass:s penalty. The crowd rose to their feet as Darius Vass kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jacob McRorie. That made the score 0-2 in the 58 minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Dublin Polar Bears FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evan Robison came free, but Jacob McRorie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kieran McLardy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irvin McKiggan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murray Manson, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. A collision led to Bonnybridge getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Tony Lowson hit a great ball. Kieran McLardy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jacob McRorie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kieran McLardy went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. When the final whistle sounded Bonnybridge left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Dublin Polar Bears FC.
