Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 0) Bonnybridge's Irvin McKiggan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddie Lennie in the 3rd minute of play. Eddie Lennie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kieran McLardy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Irvin McKiggan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregor McKerlich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Bonnybridge's Tony Lowson got a free kick in the 16th minute. Bruce McNee kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Kieran McLardy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Evan Robison came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Bonnybridge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evan Robison couldn't finish the play. Evan Robison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert McCrae having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
In the 61st minute Kieran McLardy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rupert McCrae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eddie Lennie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Irvin McKiggan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Irvin McKiggan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gregor McKerlich's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Rupert McCrae stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evan Robison's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. 71 minutes in the game, Gregor McKerlich fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Irvin McKiggan having to interfere. Eddie Lennie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When David McCay fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bonnybridge's protests and gave David McCay a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Castlebay booed when Bonnybridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. David McCay didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Evan Loudoun in the 78th minute really tested Irvin McKiggan's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Eddie Lennie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bonnybridge's Irvin McKiggan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Bonnybridge from getting a goal against them. Evan Robison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert McCrae having to interfere. In the 88th match minute, Castlebay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick McMillan to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute of the match Bonnybridge got a corner. Castlebay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Darius Vass ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Bonnybridge's Ken McKim to fire away a dangerous shot which Rupert McCrae despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rupert McCrae stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kieran McLardy's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
