Spectators: 6775 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Grant Sinclair took the kick off in the first half of the match. Grant Sinclair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Jim McOull tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grant Sinclair hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. If Liam McBeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wally McNiven hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Banchory United's Alistair Tawesson got a free kick in the 17th minute. Dalbeattie City's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Samuel McKnight 23 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 28th minute, Dalbeattie City's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alistair Tawesson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Liam McBeth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Dalbeattie City's Ronald O'Shannaig got control of the ball when Alistair Tawesson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Samuel McKnight recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Alistair Tawesson notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Dalbeattie City's Ronald O'Shannaig. Ronald O'Shannaig was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Grant Sinclair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel McKnight was the one to do the kick off. Alistair Tawesson took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronald O'Shannaig. Ronald O'Shannaig dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Ronald O'Shannaig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel McKnight, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alistair Tawesson in the 62nd minute of play forced Dalbeattie City's goalkeeper Ronald O'Shannaig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Banchory United's goalkeeper Jim McOull had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Liam McBeth. 69 minutes into the game, Liam McBeth lined in a short shot 3-1 behind a frustrated Jim McOull. 75 minutes into the match, Samuel McKnight notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Dalbeattie City's Ronald O'Shannaig. Ronald O'Shannaig was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Banchory United's Samuel McKnight got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Dalbeattie City's zone, Samuel McKnight stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronald O'Shannaig came out of the goal and Samuel McKnight tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Samuel McKnight managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banchory United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel McKnight was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
