Spectators: 6786 (Terracing: 5000,
Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 0) Wayne Adamson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Liam McBeth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Dalbeattie City's Terry McIlwraith got a free kick in the 18th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Reece McIldowie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skelmorlie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reece McIldowie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd minute Reece McIldowie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald O'Shannaig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grant Sinclair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Liam McBeths short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Terry McAngus to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Liam McBeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronald O'Shannaig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wayne Adamson in the 37th minute of the match. Skelmorlie's Wayne Adamson got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reece McIldowie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Liam McBeth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Terry McAngus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Grant Sinclair stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Terry McAngus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liam McBeth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rdth minute of the game Liam McBeth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Skelmorlie's Terry McAngus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wayne Adamson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronald O'Shannaig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Wayne Adamson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald O'Shannaig having to interfere. With 65 minutes on the clock, Ciaran Rose commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Andrew Purcell walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Reece McIldowie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ronald O'Shannaig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Adrian McKellar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reece McIldowie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald O'Shannaig having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Dalbeattie City's goalkeeper Ronald O'Shannaig had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reece McIldowie. In the 76th minute, Liam McBeth made a precise shot to the right of Terry McAngus. Skelmorlie's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 89 minutes into the match, Dalbeattie City's goalkeeper Ronald O'Shannaig had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reece McIldowie. Liam McBeth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norman Roy during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Norman Roy hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liam McBeth in the 94th minute of play forced Skelmorlie's goalkeeper Terry McAngus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Reece McIldowie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronald O'Shannaig. Dalbeattie City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reece McIldowie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.
