In the 4th match minute, Forsinard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ben Broom to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Alan McGilvernock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute, Forsinard's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fergus McMinn fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Stuart McFarlane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derek Taylor in the 12th minute of play. If Ronnie Hewitson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the game, Ross McAlister was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glencoe City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Forsinard the free kick. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Glencoe City! Stephen Donleavy shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Derek Taylor in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stuart McFarlane saved Glencoe City from getting behind. Fergus McMinn succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 27th playminute. If Fergus McMinn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fergus McMinn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ronnie McKelloch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stuart McFarlane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrew Green, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Andrew Green notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Glencoe City's Stuart McFarlane. Stuart McFarlane was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Derek Taylor was the one to do the kick off. Ronnie Hewitson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ronnie McKelloch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 55th minute of the match Ben Broom completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ben Broom a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 56 played minutes Forsinard got a freekick which was hit by Ben Broom. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Fergus McMinn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glencoe City's supporters rose to their feet, but Fergus McMinn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronnie McKelloch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 66 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Forsinard's Andrew Green fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Glencoe City's zone, Andrew Green stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stuart McFarlane came out of the goal and Andrew Green tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Glencoe City booed when Forsinard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrew Green didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stuart McFarlane acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 74th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Johnny Watt. A collision led to Glencoe City getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Alan McGilvernock hit a great ball. After 79 minutes, Max Barron mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Forsinard and the Glencoe City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Forsinard's Max Barron got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute of the match Ross McAlister shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronnie McKelloch showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Derek Taylor kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. A collision led to Glencoe City getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Fergus McMinn hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Jeremy McIlduy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Forsinard's goal looked a bit too open when Fergus McMinn came free, but Ronnie McKelloch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
