Marc Frizell had in the 5thth minute some difficulties stopping Fergus McRory's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 10th minute, Vincent McMurray ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guy Christie was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Narrow Lake City FC booed when AttackAcademy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent McMurray didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin McNeilly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th match minute, Narrow Lake City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fergus McRory to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 32 minutes into the game, when Ray McLeay put in a rough tackle. In the 32nd minute, one of Narrow Lake City FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Narrow Lake City FC. In the 34th minute there was a penalty for AttackAcademy. Liam McGreusich stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Guy Christie. 1-2. Guy Christie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Fostar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ivan Fostar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half AttackAcademy were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Fostar was the one to do the kick off. Marc Frizell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin McNeilly in the 54th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vincent McMurray got free with Guy Christie in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ivan Fostar struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Guy Christie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AttackAcademy. The supporters of AttackAcademy booed when Narrow Lake City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ken McHendrie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guy Christie made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Vincent McMurray sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched AttackAcademy eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
