Spectators: 6782 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Craig Wilson kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Neil Guthrie during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Strange Damage FC booed when Peebles United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neil Guthrie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Strange Damage FC's Thomas Gibson got a free kick in the 9th minute. Jake McChlerich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicky McVail having to interfere. If Robbie McCunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 21 minutes into the game, Craig Wilson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Nathan McDiarmid was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nathan McDiarmid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Craig Wilson in the 25th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Nathan Beattie dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nicky McVail, 1-1. When Strange Damage FC's Craig Wilson in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peebles United's goalie prevented a goal. Nathan Beattie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robbie McCunn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neil Guthrie was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Nathan McDiarmid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Craig Wilson in the 45th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jake McChlerich was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Walter Day was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peebles United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Strange Damage FC the free kick. After 53 played minutes Peebles United got a freekick which was hit by Walter Day. Jake McChlerich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Nicky McVail tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jake McChlerich in the 63rd minute of play forced Strange Damage FC's goalkeeper Nicky McVail to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nathan Beattie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicky McVail read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Jake McChlerich left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peebles United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Jake McChlerich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Nicky McVail tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Craig Wilson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute, Oliver Wilkie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peebles United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Strange Damage FC for a fine match.
