Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nicholas Munn took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Saltcoats FC's Robin McGilvray got a free kick in the 4th minute. ▪ KLM ▪ Royal Dutch ▪'s Brandon Findlayson managed to work through Saltcoats FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Brandon Findlayson dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Brandon Findlayson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kyle Binnie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. If Nicholas Munn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Will Kennethson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sid Dinwoodie in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, ▪ KLM ▪ Royal Dutch ▪'s goal looked a bit too open when Nicholas Munn came free, but Will Kennethson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Graham Armitage received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Kyle Binnie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kyle Binnie came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by ▪ KLM ▪ Royal Dutch ▪'s Brandon Findlayson. But to his dismay, Brandon Findlayson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Nicholas Munn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will Kennethson having to interfere. Graeme Duffie kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Kyle Binnie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Graham Armitage, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Kyle Binnie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brandon Findlayson's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in ▪ KLM ▪ Royal Dutch ▪'s zone, Jonathan Goudie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Will Kennethson came out of the goal and Jonathan Goudie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

With 55 minutes on the clock, Christopher McKintosh commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Saltcoats FC! When the match had been going on for 57 minutes, ▪ KLM ▪ Royal Dutch ▪'s Kevin McAdam got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Kyle Binnie. After 63 minutes, Nicholas Munn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saltcoats FC and the ▪ KLM ▪ Royal Dutch ▪ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicholas Munn kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Roy Cullen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saltcoats FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ▪ KLM ▪ Royal Dutch ▪ the free kick. In the 66th match minute, Saltcoats FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy Cullen to maneuver through the defense. ▪ KLM ▪ Royal Dutch ▪'s Will Kennethson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sid Dinwoodie in the 73rd minute of play. When Graham Armitage came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the ▪ KLM ▪ Royal Dutch ▪ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Graham Armitage couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Graham Armitage got free with Kyle Binnie in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sid Dinwoodie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saltcoats FC's Kyle Binnie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brandon Findlayson in the 85th minute of play. Kyle Binnie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brandon Findlayson in the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Brandon Findlayson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saltcoats FC's Sid Dinwoodie got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Graham Armitage fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyle Binnie having to interfere. Jonathan Goudie hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ▪ KLM ▪ Royal Dutch ▪ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
