Spectators: 6795 (Terracing: 5000,
Seating: 1795, VIP seats: 0) Billy Bryde made the kick off and thus started the match. After 9 minutes, Liam McGruer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alloway and the Mallaig AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Alloway getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Liam McGruer hit a great ball. In the 11th play minute Eric Cluny came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Danny McIlwhom. 1-0. Billy Bryde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Murray McNaughton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 20 minutes, Jacob McKenrick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mallaig AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacob McKenrick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 played minutes Alloway got a freekick which was hit by Ter McAchounich. With a little luck, Alloway's Danny McIlwhom got control of the ball when Eric Cluny tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eric Cluny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 minutes, Jason Bain mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mallaig AFC and the Alloway players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jason Bain kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Billy Bryde struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Murray McNaughton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alloway. Billy Bryde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Murray McNaughton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronnie McOwl charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronnie McOwl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th minute, Ronnie McOwl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 48 minutes into the game, Billy Bryde cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Murray McNaughton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacob McKenrick to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Billy Bryde in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Murray McNaughton saved Mallaig AFC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dean McLennan during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Alloway was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dean McLennan to maneuver through the defense. Jacob McKenrick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Mallaig AFC's Eric Cluny in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alloway's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Billy Bryde kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Murray McNaughton. That made the score 2-2 in the 70 minute of play. Billy Bryde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Billy Bryde in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Murray McNaughton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frank Gemmil hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Alloway's Liam McGruer got a free kick in the 87th minute. Danny McIlwhom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob McKenrick in the 95th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
