The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dylan McLarty helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes Kelty got a freekick which was hit by Dylan McLarty. The crowd rose to their feet as Ciaran McColman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Greg McShannachan. That made the score 1-1 in the 13 minute of play. If Ciaran McColman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the game, Ross Edgar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kelty's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Alfordigans FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Kelty's Dylan McLarty got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Willie Neilson fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Alfordigans FC's protests and gave Willie Neilson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Kelty's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dominic McHendry fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Adrian McGilroy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kelty's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian McGilroy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Irvin Boyd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Irvin Boyd came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Kelty's Wally Dis. But to his dismay, Wally Dis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 41 minutes into the match, Adrian McGilroy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Irvin Boyd. The Alfordigans FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adrian McGilroy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Adrian McGilroy kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on The Alfordigans FC's corner Andy McMorran fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Greg McShannachan quite easily take care of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrian McGilroy made a kick off. Ciaran McColman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Greg McShannachan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kelty's goalkeeper Greg McShannachan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ciaran McColman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Adrian McGilroy put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Irvin Boyd. The Alfordigans FC's Dominic McHendry got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Greg McShannachan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciaran McColman went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Adrian McGilroy kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. When Adrian McGilroy got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Kelty. Irvin Boyd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian McGilroy, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. If Ciaran McColman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominic McHendry in the 80th minute of play forced Kelty's goalkeeper Greg McShannachan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Alfordigans FC's Irvin Boyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian McGilroy in the 87th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Kelty's zone, Dominic McHendry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Greg McShannachan came out of the goal and Dominic McHendry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wally Dis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Adrian McGilroy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
