Seating: 1794, VIP seats: 155) Currie FC's Steve McKessock started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Richard Foristar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Currie FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Foristar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ryan McInally breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Foristar in the 13th minute of play forced Glasgow United FC's goalkeeper Ryan McInally to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Steve McKessock's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ryan McInally was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Patrick McVanish fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Suttie having to interfere. George Suttie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddie McOurlic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Steve McKessock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ryan McInally tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glasgow United FC's Ryan McInally played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steve McKessock in the 22nd minute of play. Ryan McInally showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve McKessock in the 24th minute of the match. Glasgow United FC's Patrick McVanish got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Richard Foristar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Foristar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryan McInally having to interfere.
55 minutes into the game, Vincent Johnston was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glasgow United FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Currie FC the free kick. In the 55th match minute, Glasgow United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Johnston to maneuver through the defense. If Richard Foristar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Richard Foristar fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Steve McKessock kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ryan McInally. That made the score 0-1 in the 64 minute of play. Freddie McOurlic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacob Gilbertson during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th minute, Jacob Gilbertson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Freddie McOurlic struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. George Suttie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glasgow United FC. 79 minutes into the match, Richard Foristar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ryan McInally. Glasgow United FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Richard Foristar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Steve McKessock took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Ryan McInally to make any attempt to save it. Ryan McInally showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve McKessock, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Steve McKessock blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ryan McInally having to make a save. Currie FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
