Spectators: 6792 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fergus McDonachie started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fergus McDonachie in the 6th minute of play forced Fraserburgh's goalkeeper Roddie McGrory to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alva's Billy Manson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Alva from getting a goal against them. In the 11th match minute, Alva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blair McCabe to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, Fraserburgh's Irvin McKintosh nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Billy Manson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 20th minute, Raymond McCaa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Billy Manson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymond McCaa in the 22nd minute of play. After 24 minutes, Raymond McCaa made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Alva's Billy Manson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Raymond McCaa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Billy Manson. That made the score 3-0 in the 32 minute of play. If Fergus McDonachie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Timmy GruaMcH hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fraserburgh's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Blair McCabe was slow to take the kick. During this time Alva's players had a chance to rest. Ronald Clarkson charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronald Clarkson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ronald Clarkson hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raymond McCaa made a kick off. Roddie McGrory was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Fergus McDonachie capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fergus McDonachie really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. In the 61st minute, Raymond McCaa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Fraserburgh's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aaron McConnechy fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Fergus McDonachie was extremely unlucky when he, in the 71st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, Alva's Bruce Cochrane got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Alva's Henry Hewitson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 83rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Roddie McGrory but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, Alva's Joseph Petrie got a free kick in the 86th minute. The supporters of Fraserburgh booed when Alva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron McConnechy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fraserburgh's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
