Spectators: 7717 (Terracing: 5789, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jeremy McKinney kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremy McKinney in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richard McDaniell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Barry McSwan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard McDaniell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc McKean in the 20th minute of play. Patrick McIlvrae made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Miller in the 24th minute. Kevin Miller's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Patrick McIlvrae skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Terry Kay during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Terry Kay hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Barry McSwan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrick McIlvrae made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Kevin Miller sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st minute Rob Crawley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard McDaniell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Jedburgh's Terry Kay got a free kick in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 60 played minutes Celtic Green Path got a freekick which was hit by Neil Deuchar. Patrick McIlvrae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joe Paterson in the 62nd minute of the match. The supporters of Jedburgh booed when Celtic Green Path was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stuart Hunter didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th match minute, Celtic Green Path was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy McKinnell to maneuver through the defense. When Kevin Miller came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Celtic Green Path fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Miller couldn't finish the play. If Marc McKean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Celtic Green Path getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Harry McGilvernock hit a great ball. Neil Deuchar charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Neil Deuchar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jedburgh were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Celtic Green Path to leave the ground with a draw.
