A collision led to Lossiemouth City getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Gregor Airlie hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kirkliston City fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! Davie Gow took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terry Cobb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26th play minutes Robbie McPhedron shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Wally Fairbairn and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 31st minute, Lee McIlleriach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rdth minute of the game Keith Hill who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lossiemouth City's Wally Fairbairn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kirkliston City's zone, Terry Cobb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davie Gow came out of the goal and Terry Cobb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keith Hill blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wally Fairbairn having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Lossiemouth City's zone, Keith Hill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wally Fairbairn came out of the goal and Keith Hill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robbie McPhedron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Terry Cobb stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Kirkliston City's zone, Terry Cobb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davie Gow came out of the goal and Terry Cobb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Stewart McEachran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lossiemouth City's supporters rose to their feet, but Stewart McEachran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Davie Gow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the game, Stewart McEachran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Davie Gow was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Lossiemouth City booed when Kirkliston City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominic McGruther didn't get a good kick on the ball. Davie Gow made an important save on a dangerous shot by Terry Cobb in the 66th minute. Terry Cobb struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Davie Gow didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lossiemouth City. Keith Hill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wally Fairbairn having to interfere. Wally Fairbairn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keith Hill in the 75th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lossiemouth City's zone, Keith Hill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wally Fairbairn came out of the goal and Keith Hill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lossiemouth City walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
