With a left leg Conor McGugan saved Wishaw AFC from getting behind. Wishaw AFC's Conor McGugan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frankie Barr in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute Benjamin Bain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Buntain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wishaw AFC's Ronnie McIlzegowie got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Benjamin Bain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Ronan Barr was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Earlston FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wishaw AFC the free kick. The supporters of Wishaw AFC booed when Earlston FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronan Barr didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ronnie McIlzegowie came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Wishaw AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronnie McIlzegowie couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin Bain in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charles Buntain saved Earlston FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Bain in the 34th minute of play forced Earlston FC's goalkeeper Charles Buntain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Bain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Charles Buntain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charles Buntain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Bain in the 40th minute of play. Nathan Barlow hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Frankie Barr recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frankie Barr to strike the kick off in the second half. Adrian Stringer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. With a left leg Conor McGugan saved Wishaw AFC from getting behind. 72 minutes into the match, Wishaw AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Stringer came free, but Conor McGugan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Boyle kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Frankie Barr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
