Ardgay AFC's Les Buntine proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Ardgay AFC from getting a goal against them. 5 minutes into the match, The Gunners FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kenneth McMurdoch came free, but Ronnie McMichael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Davie McCash sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronnie McMichael stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tom McNab's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. After 17 played minutes, Ardgay AFC's Blair Bayne shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ronnie McMichael came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ardgay AFC reached it. Tom McNab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ardgay AFC booed when The Gunners FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davie McCash didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ardgay AFC's Tom McNab got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After recieving a nice pass, Ardgay AFC's Hugh Eadie tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ronnie McMichael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom McNab in the 38th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Ardgay AFC's Kenneth McMurdoch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronnie McMichael narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Ardgay AFC booed when The Gunners FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iain Dempster didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 50 minutes The Gunners FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hugh Eadie who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ardgay AFC's Hugh Eadie to fire away a dangerous shot which Ronnie McMichael despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

64 minutes into the match, Ardgay AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Davie McCash came free, but Les Buntine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for The Gunners FC! In the 74th minute there was a penalty for Ardgay AFC. Hugh Eadie stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ronnie McMichael. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davie McCash in the 81st minute of play forced Ardgay AFC's goalkeeper Les Buntine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grant McQuire charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Grant McQuire the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 82 played minutes The Gunners FC got a freekick which was hit by Grant McQuire. Kenneth McMurdoch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, The Gunners FC's Frankie McConnach got a free kick in the 89th minute. Ardgay AFC's attack was well implemented in the 90th minute, but when Kenneth McMurdoch was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Les Buntine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davie McCash, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
