Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when William Armour made the kick off which started today's match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tyler Dobie during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 3 played minutes POPPY TEAM FC got a freekick which was hit by Tyler Dobie. In the 4th minute of the match Ter Ambrose shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kieran Robb showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the POPPY TEAM FC defense, Darren Small kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kieran Robb. The POPPY TEAM FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kieran Robb should have stopped the shot. Kieran Robb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Small in the 11th minute of play. Gourock United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Jay Malcolmson scored to the left of an out of position Charles McDavid, making the score, 1-1. Stevie McHugh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Charles McDavid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. POPPY TEAM FC's Kieran Robb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Armour in the 31st minute of play. When William Armour came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Gourock United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Armour couldn't finish the play. POPPY TEAM FC's Kieran Robb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darren Small in the 37th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrian Gardner during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to POPPY TEAM FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Adrian Gardner hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jay Malcolmson made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Nicholas Huntly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 52 minutes into the match, POPPY TEAM FC's Tyler Dobie broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Theo McLehose hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Darren Small could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Kieran Robb made a huge save. Kieran Robb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Armour, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Theo McLehose during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 64th match minute, POPPY TEAM FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theo McLehose to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in POPPY TEAM FC's zone, William Armour stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kieran Robb came out of the goal and William Armour tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kieran Robb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Armour, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Stevie McHugh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Charles McDavid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darren Small got free with Kieran Robb in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. William Armour blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kieran Robb having to make a save. 79 minutes in the game, Darren Small fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Kieran Robb having to interfere. Kieran Robb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Armour in the 80th minute of play. In the 83rd minute of the match Tyler Dobie shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Charles McDavid showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. William Armour was extremely unlucky when he, in the 84th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Charles McDavid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jay Malcolmson in the 94th minute of play. POPPY TEAM FC were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Gourock United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tyler Dobie took the corner. POPPY TEAM FC's Tyler Dobie was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Charles McDavid in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
