Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jim McBain took the kick off in the first half of the match. Alan Gemmil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Larry McGown tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 6 minutes into the match, Mc Dillon FC's goalkeeper Larry McGown had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alan Gemmil. In the 8th minute, Alan Gemmil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Larry McGown was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Larry McGown made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lewis McCrie in the 13th minute of play. Eddie Carrick's late challenge caught a Strathdon United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eddie Carrick helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute, Eddie Carrick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Angus Gilroy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jim McBain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Murray McEachin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Alexander Jones was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mc Dillon FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Strathdon United the free kick. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mc Dillon FC! In the 25th minute there was a penalty for Strathdon United. Ray McCaskill stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Larry McGown. 2-0. Jim McBain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciaran Connor charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciaran Connor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd minute, one of Mc Dillon FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mc Dillon FC. The referee gave Strathdon United a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ray McCaskill, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mc Dillon FC's Larry McGown. 3-0. 39 minutes into the match, Mc Dillon FC's goalkeeper Larry McGown had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alan Gemmil. With his leg Larry McGown managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Strathdon United's Alan Gemmil fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Jim McBain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When Reece Carmichael came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Mc Dillon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reece Carmichael couldn't finish the play. Murray McEachin was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Jim McBain capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jim McBain really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Murray McEachin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jim McBain in the 57th minute of the match. Alan Gemmil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Larry McGown tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angus Gilroy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larry McGown having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mc Dillon FC's zone, Alan Gemmil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Larry McGown came out of the goal and Alan Gemmil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute Alan Gemmil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Larry McGown saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Angus Gilroy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th match minute, Mc Dillon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charlie Gowrie to maneuver through the defense. If Angus Gilroy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angus Gilroy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Strathdon United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
