Spectators: 6782 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Angus Gilroy started the match with the kick off. Ray Hawson walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Stuart Clark took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Murray McEachin to make any attempt to save it. When Strathdon United's Alan Gemmil in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tayport's goalie prevented a goal. Josh McGugan struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Murray McEachin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tayport. Hamish Bryce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Murray McEachin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lewis McCrie kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Elliot Cooke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Gemmil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hamish Bryce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murray McEachin having to interfere. Hamish Bryce's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Murray McEachin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Hamish Bryce scored 2-0 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Murray McEachin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 60thth minute of the game Hamish Bryce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Strathdon United's Murray McEachin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Josh McGugan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tayport's supporters rose to their feet, but Josh McGugan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Murray McEachin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Strathdon United's Murray McEachin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josh McGugan in the 63rd minute of play. With a little luck, Tayport's Elliot Cooke got control of the ball when Alan Gemmil tried to sneak it across the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Alan Gemmil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elliot Cooke. Tayport's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alan Gemmil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. If Josh McGugan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josh McGugan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Declan Gilmour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murray McEachin having to interfere. After 83 played minutes Strathdon United got a freekick which was hit by Billy Walters. 84 minutes in the game, Josh McGugan dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Hamish Bryce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Murray McEachin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hamish Bryce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murray McEachin having to interfere.
