Spectators: 6789 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1789, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Josh McGugan started the match with the kick off. Hamish Bryce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. William Smith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ray Hawson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for William Smith. Carrbridge's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fergus Dochart recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 16 played minutes Tayport got a freekick which was hit by Stuart Clark. 18 minutes into the match, Josh McGugan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of William Smith. Carrbridge's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Josh McGugan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 23rd minute, Nicol Petrie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ray Hawson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for William Smith. Carrbridge's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Tayport's Josh McGugan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. William Smith made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 37 minutes, Nicol Petrie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carrbridge and the Tayport players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Carrbridge getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Nicol Petrie hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gavin Barns to make the kick off. William Smith made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josh McGugan in the 59th minute of play. Tayport's Hamish Bryce got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Josh McGugan made a precise shot to the right of William Smith. Carrbridge's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Josh McGugan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hamish Bryce in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of William Smith, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 71st match minute, Carrbridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fergus Dochart to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Carrbridge's William Smith got control of the ball when Hamish Bryce tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Gavin Barns sped through Tayport's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Elliot Cooke. After having played for 87 minutes, Josh McGugan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tayport's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josh McGugan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gavin Barns recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hamish Bryce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
