The audience thought a goal was coming when Charles Clark got free with Marcus McMunn in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Troy McCrain fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yarmouth AFC's protests and gave Troy McCrain a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th minute, Troy McCrain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles Clark's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Marcus McMunn skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Mauchline's Oliver McCombie got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute Finlay McCloy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Morgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Finlay McCloy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Craig Coutts kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute Troy McCrain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Morgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mauchline's goalkeeper Christopher Morgan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Troy McCrain struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Christopher Morgan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yarmouth AFC. Christopher Morgan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Troy McCrain, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Troy McCrain made a kick off. Charles Clark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus McMunn having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mauchline's zone, Finlay McCloy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Morgan came out of the goal and Finlay McCloy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Troy McCrain was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. Yarmouth AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Troy McCrain took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Christopher Morgan to make any attempt to save it. Charles Clark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Finlay McCloy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Christopher Morgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Finlay McCloy succeeded in the game's 85th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Christopher Morgan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Troy McCrain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charlie Duthie's late challenge caught a Yarmouth AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charlie Duthie helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 92 minutes, Troy McCrain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yarmouth AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Troy McCrain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Charles Clark got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
