Spectators: 6776 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Keith McCodrum started the match with the kick off. Keith McCodrum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominic McKinnell having to interfere. After 5 minutes, Ricky Noble mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Harris and the Ellon AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 11 minutes, Ciaran McLintock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ellon AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciaran McLintock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dominic McKinnell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keith McCodrum in the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciaran McLintock in the 14th minute of play forced Harris's goalkeeper Dominic McKinnell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lloyd Ayson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciaran McLintock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Dominic McKinnell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Harris's goal looked a bit too open when Keith McCodrum came free, but Dominic McKinnell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harris's Dominic McKinnell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciaran McLintock in the 28th minute of play. If Ciaran McLintock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Harris's goal looked a bit too open when Ciaran McLintock came free, but Dominic McKinnell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 minutes of play, Ellon AFC's Ciaran McLintock made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dominic McKinnell was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciaran McLintock in the 45th minute of play forced Harris's goalkeeper Dominic McKinnell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stuart McKelloch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ellon AFC's Greg McEol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Ellon AFC from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Stuart McKelloch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greg McEol having to interfere. In the 73rdth minute of the game Keith McCodrum who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Harris's Dominic McKinnell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Stuart McKelloch came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Harris fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stuart McKelloch couldn't finish the play. Dominic McKinnell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keith McCodrum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the game, Kevin King was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Harris's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ellon AFC the free kick. A collision led to Harris getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Kevin King hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Ellon AFC's Dominic McKinnell threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Keith McCodrum, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Keith McCodrum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
