Logan McVean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Phillip Comine stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aberdeen Dandies F.C.'s Phil Hawes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Aberdeen Dandies F.C. from getting a goal against them. Charlie McCamie kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Grangemouth's Phillip Comine slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Phil Hawes. That made the score 0-4 after 65 minutes of play. Harold Blake's late challenge caught a Aberdeen Dandies F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thanks to some nice moves Jordan Kilgour could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Phil Hawes however easily saved by the left post. If Jordan Kilgour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jordan Kilgour's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phil Hawes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play.
