Seating: 1810, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Phillip Comine took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dean Borthwick in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Liam McCririe saved Grangemouth from getting behind. When Dunkeld's Dean Borthwick in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grangemouth's goalie prevented a goal. Jordan Kilgour's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robert McAindra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Simon McIndeor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Dunkeld's Robert McAindra got control of the ball when Phillip Comine tried to sneak it across the goal line. 23 minutes in the game, Jordan Kilgour fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Robert McAindra having to interfere. Liam McCririe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dean Borthwick in the 25th minute of the match. After 27 played minutes Dunkeld got a freekick which was hit by Alan Lemond. Joe White received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Robert McAindra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jordan Kilgour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jordan Kilgour came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Grangemouth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jordan Kilgour couldn't finish the play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dean Borthwick stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Dean Borthwick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam McCririe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phillip Comine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dean Borthwick might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Liam McCririe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dean Borthwick ran back to his position shaking his head. Luke McFarquhar struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Liam McCririe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunkeld. In the 72nd minute Jordan Kilgour shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert McAindra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robert McAindra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phillip Comine in the 74th minute of the match. Robert McAindra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordan Kilgour, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the game, one of Dunkeld:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 92 minutes, Joe White mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grangemouth and the Dunkeld players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Grangemouth's Joe White got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Grangemouth had won after a very even match.
