Spectators: 6799 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1799, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Wally Fyfe kicked off to start the match. Lee McSorley was a little too slow when Wally Fyfe got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. Malcolm Gunn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Greg Drysdale in the 12th minute of the match. Owen Alderson hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Lee McSorley was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Darius McIlleriach showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 20 minute of play. Wishaw's Douglas McGrath got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Malcolm Gunn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas McGrath, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Greg Drysdale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Malcolm Gunn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Greg Drysdale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 47 minutes, Douglas McGrath managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wishaw's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas McGrath was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Douglas McGrath made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Alloa's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas McGrath came free, but Malcolm Gunn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57 minutes of play, Alloa's Darius McIlleriach made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lee McSorley was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 62nd minute, Oliver Marnoch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the match, Wishaw's goal looked a bit too open when Wally Fyfe came free, but Lee McSorley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lee McSorley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wally Fyfe in the 67th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Greg Drysdale got free with Malcolm Gunn in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Douglas McGrath in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Malcolm Gunn saved Alloa from getting behind. Douglas McGrath fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm Gunn having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Alloa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Les Smart to maneuver through the defense. Douglas McGrath sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Alloa's Angus Coulthart seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Angus Coulthart the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Alloa protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Angus Coulthart had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 88th minute there was a penalty for Wishaw. Adam McNab stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Malcolm Gunn. 3-2. Malcolm Gunn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas McGrath, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Wishaw's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adam McNab in the 99th minute. Wishaw's Adam McNab was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Malcolm Gunn in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
