A collision led to Alloway getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Quentin Ronald hit a great ball. With his leg Jordan Gowan managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Livingston United's Joshua Dunn fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eric McCammond hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute of the match Michael Davenport shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jordan Gowan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 15 played minutes Alloway got a freekick which was hit by Eric McCammond. If Joshua Dunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Munro Wylie hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Michael Davenport hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes, Alloway's Quentin Ronald shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robbie McQuartie came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alloway reached it. Charles Train kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Alloway's Jordan Gowan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sid McCartney in the 32nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joshua Dunn got free with Jordan Gowan in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute, one of Alloway:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Alloway. In the 41st minute there was a penalty for Livingston United. Michael Davenport stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jordan Gowan. 1-0. Joshua Dunn struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Jordan Gowan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Livingston United. Jordan Gowan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sid McCartney's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sid McCartney to strike the kick off in the second half. 1-1 became the score in the 52nd minute when Alex Alexander elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Livingston United's goal looked a bit too open when Malcolm McAldonich came free, but Robbie McQuartie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Charles Train was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Livingston United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alloway the free kick. Charles Train hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Sid McCartney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute Joshua Dunn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jordan Gowan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Sid McCartney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Livingston United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alloway the free kick. The supporters of Alloway booed when Livingston United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sid McCartney didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malcolm McAldonich in the 86th minute of play forced Livingston United's goalkeeper Robbie McQuartie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Livingston United's Sid McCartney nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jordan Gowan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 95th minute, Malcolm McAldonich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
