Spectators: 6793 (Terracing: 5000,
Seating: 1793, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the game, Stewart McKinnell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marcus McLaws was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Alex Craig fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Drummore's protests and gave Alex Craig a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Drummore fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Leverburgh FC. Darren Noble stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcus McLaws. 0-2. Leverburgh FC's Barry Scott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel McVicar in the 16th minute of play. Wal McKean took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcus McLaws. Marcus McLaws dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. If Stewart McKinnell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute Daniel McVicar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barry Scott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barry Scott made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gordon McEachern in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Leverburgh FC's Wal McKean got a free kick in the 34th minute. Marcus McLaws showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stewart McKinnell, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The attack was good, but when Edmond Conlon in the 38th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 40th minute, Edmond Conlon fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Barry Scott, passed just outside the right post. Daniel McVicar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barry Scott having to interfere. When Edmond Conlon came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Drummore fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmond Conlon couldn't finish the play.
Barry Scott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmond Conlon, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel McVicar in the 57th minute of play forced Leverburgh FC's goalkeeper Barry Scott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barry Scott stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel McVicar's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. 75 minutes into the game, Drummore's Daniel McVicar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Barry Scott made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 78th minute, Stewart McKinnell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joe Ewart's late challenge caught a Leverburgh FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joe Ewart helped the player get up and apologised. Joe Ewart kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Daniel McVicar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Barry Scott read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After 88 played minutes Leverburgh FC got a freekick which was hit by Tim McInally. Edmond Conlon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barry Scott having to interfere. Edmond Conlon hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Drummore's goal looked a bit too open when Stewart McKinnell came free, but Marcus McLaws reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Drummore manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Leverburgh FC to win.
