Spectators: 6781 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1781, VIP seats: 0) Direwolves's Rupert Ayres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathan Barnfather in the 6th minute of play. In the 6th match minute, Direwolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin McNeish to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Direwolves's Rupert Ayres got control of the ball when Edmond McEachern tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nathan Barnfather fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Ayres having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Wayne McPhadden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Edmond McEachern notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Direwolves's Rupert Ayres. Rupert Ayres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ian Boyes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry McMurchy's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Rupert Ayres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathan Barnfather in the 24th minute of the match. Rupert Ayres was a little too slow when Nathan Barnfather got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 2-0. Edmond McEachern sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nathan Barnfather recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmond McEachern fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Ayres having to interfere. A collision led to Dunbeath getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Vinny McFergus hit a great ball. Callum Adair, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henry McMurchy to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Stewart Baxter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dunbeath and the Direwolves players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stewart Baxter kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Ian Boyes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry McMurchy, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Direwolves's Steve Elliott got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 62ndth minute of the game Edmond McEachern who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Direwolves's Rupert Ayres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rupert Ayres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmond McEachern in the 63rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wayne McPhadden during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th minute, Wayne McPhadden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jay Foulis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Ian Boyes made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Direwolves's zone, Wayne McPhadden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rupert Ayres came out of the goal and Wayne McPhadden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Dunbeath fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Dunbeath's Edmond McEachern looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rupert Ayres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathan Barnfather in the 90th minute of the match. If Edmond McEachern had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Dunbeath players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
