Spectators: 7709 (Terracing: 5783, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 153) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Johnny Hendrie got the match started through his kick off. After 4 played minutes Glasgow Blue Ants got a freekick which was hit by Blair McComas. 8 minutes into the match, Dunblane's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Hendrie came free, but Kevin Tonnochy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bob Donaldsons short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Kevin Tonnochy to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Johnny Hendrie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Kevin Tonnochy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Glasgow Blue Ants's goalkeeper Alex Hardy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anthony Norman struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Alex Hardy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunblane. After 26 played minutes, Dunblane's Ben McKinning shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alex Hardy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dunblane reached it. 30 minutes into the match, Dunblane's goalkeeper Kevin Tonnochy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bob Donaldson. When Anthony Norman came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Dunblane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anthony Norman couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the match, Glasgow Blue Ants's goal looked a bit too open when Phillip Murchison came free, but Alex Hardy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Kevin Tonnochy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Hendrie, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Alex Hardy made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Phillip Murchison sent off a good shot on target. Anthony Norman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Hardy having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthony Norman in the 63rd minute of play forced Glasgow Blue Ants's goalkeeper Alex Hardy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phillip Murchison who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Alex Hardy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Phillip Murchison came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Dunblane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phillip Murchison couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Anthony Norman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dunblane's supporters rose to their feet, but Anthony Norman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Hardy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 70 minutes, Ross Frissell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glasgow Blue Ants and the Dunblane players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, Phillip Murchison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 76 minutes, Bob Donaldson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glasgow Blue Ants's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bob Donaldson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Johnny Hendrie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donald Robinson hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Donald Robinson's late challenge caught a Dunblane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donald Robinson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Glasgow Blue Ants was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donald Robinson to maneuver through the defense. Alex Hardy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Norman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johnny Hendrie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kevin Tonnochy having to make a save. 92 minutes into the match, Glasgow Blue Ants's Bob Donaldson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kevin Tonnochy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
