A very good chance. Alex Hardy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Coutts, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Jacob Robb charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johnny Hendrie to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Linlithgow's zone, Bob Donaldson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jake McKillop came out of the goal and Bob Donaldson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stevie Niven's late challenge caught a Glasgow Blue Ants's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stevie Niven helped the player get up and apologised. Jake McKillop stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bob Donaldson's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Bob Donaldson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Jake McKillop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronan McCammon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jake McKillop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnny Hendrie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th match minute, Linlithgow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cameron Menzies to maneuver through the defense. If Ronan McCammon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Linlithgow players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Glasgow Blue Ants.
