Spectators: 6780 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Samuel Archibald kicked off to start the match. Glenrothes's Gus Barns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Hardie in the 4th minute of play. Gus Barns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Billy McCruithein in the 7th minute of play. The nice shot from Martin Tyre in the 9thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Josh Lobban had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Samuel Archibald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kevin Cattanach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin Tyre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Josh Lobban made a huge save. Martin Tyre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Josh Lobban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Tommy Hardie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Willis Boys FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommy Hardie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gus Barns breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ian McCeallaich hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Billy McCruithein made a kick off. If Tommy Hardie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Archibald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Josh Lobban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute Billy McCruithein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gus Barns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Archibald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josh Lobban having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Glenrothes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Finlay Ogilvie to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Hardie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Josh Lobban came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Glenrothes's Martin Tyre. But to his dismay, Martin Tyre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The supporters of Willis Boys FC booed when Glenrothes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian McCeallaich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Hardie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gus Barns having to interfere. The supporters of Glenrothes booed when Willis Boys FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason McVurie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Tyre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glenrothes's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
