Spectators: 6786 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Craig Duncanson got the match started through his kick off. Craig Duncanson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alan McBheath had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Coldstream's Alan McBheath got a free kick in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Coldstream's goal looked a bit too open when Guy McVurie came free, but Nathan Stalker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guy McVurie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Nathan Stalker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Josh Dyer sped through Coldstream's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nathan Stalker. If Guy McVurie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nathan Stalker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Josh Dyer's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Craig Duncanson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Phil McKechnie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Craig Duncanson in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coldstream's goalkeeper Nathan Stalker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Phil McKechnie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan McBheath in the 30th minute. Guy McVurie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Girvan booed when Coldstream was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matt Bowers didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Craig Duncanson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coldstream's supporters crossed their fingers, but Craig Duncanson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Craig Duncanson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Scott Barlow kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Craig Duncanson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phil McKechnie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Josh Dyer to make the kick off. Craig Duncanson took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Phil McKechnie. Phil McKechnie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Guy McVurie sped through Coldstream's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nathan Stalker. Simon McLeay's late challenge caught a Coldstream's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simon McLeay helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th minute, Simon McLeay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience held their breath when Matt Bowers in the 70th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Phil McKechnie's left hand side. Alan McBheath received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Phil McKechnie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phil McKechnie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Craig Duncanson in the 84th minute of play. When Girvan's Josh Dyer in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Coldstream's goalie prevented a goal. In the 88th minute, Girvan's Josh Dyer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nathan Stalker. Nathan Stalker yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. In the 93rd match minute, Girvan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward McKeochan to maneuver through the defense. The Girvan supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Girvan would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
