After recieving a nice pass, Girvan's Raymond McNider tried to score from far away in the 7th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute Aidan McKinven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phil McKechnie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josh Dyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gus Beadle having to interfere. A collision led to Luigi & Mario Bros FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Frankie McColman hit a great ball. Josh Dyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Josh Dyer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gus Beadle was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Josh Dyer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gus Beadle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Luigi & Mario Bros FC's Ryan Buchan got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ryan Buchan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phil McKechnie having to interfere. Phil McKechnie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aidan McKinven, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After some careless play in the Luigi & Mario Bros FC defense, Guy McVurie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gus Beadle. The Luigi & Mario Bros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gus Beadle should have stopped the shot. Guy McVurie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Gus Beadle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Josh Dyer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Guy McVurie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frankie McColman charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frankie McColman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Girvan booed when Luigi & Mario Bros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frankie McColman didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Josh Dyer was the one to do the kick off. Guy McVurie spun around in front of the goal 56 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Luigi & Mario Bros FC's goal. Thanks to some nice moves Guy McVurie could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Gus Beadle however easily saved by the left post. Gus Beadle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josh Dyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Frankie McColman was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 65 minutes had been played. After 66 played minutes Luigi & Mario Bros FC got a freekick which was hit by Frankie McColman. 68 minutes into the game, Guy McVurie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gus Beadle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 74 minutes into the match, Girvan's Guy McVurie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gus Beadle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gus Beadle made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Guy McVurie sent off a good shot on target. Girvan's Guy McVurie got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Irvin Bowie hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josh Dyer in the 92nd minute of play forced Luigi & Mario Bros FC's goalkeeper Gus Beadle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gus Beadle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josh Dyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josh Dyer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gus Beadle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. Irvin Bowie hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. When the match was over Girvan could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Luigi & Mario Bros FC throughout the match.
