Neil McRankin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Tommy McNee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicky Colyear fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy McNee having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harry McBride during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 13 minutes into the game, Robbie Cottrill was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aboyne's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PRIME UTD the free kick. After 13 played minutes Aboyne got a freekick which was hit by Robbie Cottrill. Harry McBride's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roddie McKillop read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Nicky Colyear sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Willie Norman fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PRIME UTD's protests and gave Willie Norman a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes PRIME UTD got a freekick which was hit by Willie Norman. 27 minutes into the game, Aboyne's Nicky Colyear nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy McNee made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Roddie McKillop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harry McBride in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aboyne's goalkeeper Roddie McKillop, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Harry McBride sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Willie Norman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walter Lauchlan kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Tommy McNee stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Neil McRankin's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Gavin Adamson struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Roddie McKillop didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PRIME UTD. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gavin Adamson made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, PRIME UTD's goal looked a bit too open when Neil McRankin came free, but Tommy McNee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neil McRankin in the 77th minute of play forced PRIME UTD's goalkeeper Tommy McNee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roddie McKillop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavin Adamson, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Neil McRankin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harry McBride sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 minutes, Neil McRankin made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. PRIME UTD's Tommy McNee tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 90th minute, Robbie Cottrill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Neil McRankin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Aboyne's goalkeeper Roddie McKillop had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harry McBride. Aboyne's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
